I am always on the lookout for innovative web-based tools for the small business owner. After all, it is our mantra.

Reading the news wires yesterday, I came across a release touting the “launch of a new standard for web-based timekeeping…” A company called TSheets.com launched a web-based timecard system specifically targeted to SMBs (small to medium businesses.)

TSheets is one of the growing number of companies offering “Software-as-a-Service” or SaaS. This model makes it very affordable for small business owners to leverage powerful technologies.

I signed up for a test-drive today. The process was painless and it looks like I can clock in and out via the web or my mobile phone. As my testing continues, I’ll post updates.
