Today’s Site Issues

It’s nearly 8PM here and we think we’ve cleared off all the malware from our hacked site today thanks to the team at GoDaddy. We were made aware of this when a client called and stated that he got a “malware” warning from Google when trying to visit our site.

We examined the site using a text-based browser and found that all pages had been injected with a script. A little research turned up these tidbits:

While we do appreciate the fast response of the GoDaddy security team, we think they could have been a little bit more proactive in advising their shared hosting customers of this issue since it apparently originated prior to today.

We are investigating third party services to monitor this and all of our web sites for malware attacks. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
