Grow Your Email List
Email is one of the most inexpensive marketing tools you have at your disposal. Customers can read your email at their leisure and from a variety of places – desktops, cell phones, handheld devices.
How can a small business owner grow their email list? In all likelihood, you have a good start on your existing customers. Remember that you do need to comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act which makes it illegal to send unsolicited emails to anyone who has not given express permission to be contact via email.
You will also want to place email sign-up forms on your web site. We call these “opt-in” magnets. Be sure to use a “call to action” button or slogan to get the attention of your visitors. It’s always a good practice to use technologies to prevent robots and spammers from signing up on your email list.
Regular communication is key to keeping your audience engaged. Each email from you should include options to remove oneself from the list and to forward the email on to a friend.
